Walking is Better than Running???

Most assume that running would be better than walking to get your body fit, strong, and toned.

Depending on your situation, that may not be the case, and for many, walking is a better long term strategy.

There are certainly many clients I have steered towards more gentle forms of exercise so they can build a more solid base initially, rather than jumping into high intensity exercises. They have been very grateful because it allowed them to build the habit of staying active without having to put up with the soreness that often discourages people in the beginning of any exercise routine.

In our family, we’ve definitely been using a family walk as a way to stay active, build stamina and resilience, reconnect and deepen relationships, and also work out the stresses and anxieties of the day.
